Cutie Teddy smiles for his foster mom! He’s waiting for his forever and compassionate home. He is shy with strangers and needs time to warm up to bond to person. But then, he is very easy going, friendly and sweet! Your best friend and little buddy 🙂 I mean, look at this face!!
Teddy’s Story
Teddy (D3086) was rescued on 3/6/14 from a crowded Alameda county shelter on the day of PTS. He was nervous at the shelter and very distracted (scared). Once out of that environment, he warms up and is gentle and friendly. He needs time in a foster home to relax and feel safe. When he is nervous or scared, he will react with warning growl and may nip if pushed (at vet dealing with stitches).
Teddy is good with other dogs that help him feel better. He loves other dogs and is happier when he is with another dog, but at his temp. foster home, now that he is comfortable, he will guard his toy and food to other dog. At his new foster home as the only dog. It took him time to relax and feel safe. After a few days, he loves following his person and belly rubs (& asks for more). He is will guard his chew toy & ball to person. So they are working with him on trade and no need to guard his toy & dog bed. He is very lovable, catches treats and loves his walks. Adult experience home only.
